Kaiser Permanente has an
immediate opening for a Chief Nursing Officer for Sunnyside
Medical Center, a 300-bed tertiary hospital in suburban
Portland, Oregon. The hospital is the flagship medical center
for Kaiser's Northwest Region. The Chief Nursing Officer will
be part of the region's executive team and will have responsibility
for developing, leading, and overseeing patient care
activities. Qualified candidates should have significant
senior management experience, preferably at the Chief Nursing
Officer level in a large complex acute care facility.
Experience working within a data-driven organization, particularly
with respect to evidence- based practice is strongly
preferred. Previous experience with and/or knowledge of
Magnet principles is a plus. Excellent employee relations
skills and experience working collaboratively with organized labor
is required. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in
nursing with a Master's degree or Ph.D. strongly preferred.
