Job Description
Primarily responsible for
creation, implementation and monitoring corporate infection control
program; secondarily supports employee health and patient safety
functions.
Qualifications
Education:
Minimum two year Associate Degree in Nursing; prefer BSN.
Experience:
Minimum five years of direct clinical care experience and
application of infection control standards of care. Prefer
experience in design, implementation and monitoring of infection
control program. Employee health or occupational health experience
also preferred.
Licenses/Certificates/Registration:
RN licensure in WA State required. CIC preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Required:
Ability to collaborate with a variety of professional disciplines.
Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team to achieve goals. Ability
to collaborate with business and community partners (i.e. public
health departments, department of health representatives, payers).
Ability to research and synthesize information. Excellent
communication skills written and oral, including effective use of
electronic communication technology. Ability to organize and
prioritize in order to accomplish stated goals. Personal
characteristics needed for success in this position include being
self-motivated problem solver, an innovator and an educator.
Working knowledge of regulations and standards related to OSHA,
WISHA, APIC, FDA, CDC, JCAHO, WA and OR health care regulations.
Demonstrated proficiency in electronic spreadsheet and database
applications (Excel and Access).
